The worlds possibly biggest pro sample archive speaks
one language - AKAI. There are thousands of sampling CDs in AKAI™
format and they are mostly professional quality.
If you want to use these hi-quality sounds in your songs, you have two
possibilities: buy a hardware sampler or get some software which converts
those sounds to something your equipment understands.
Every audio software on the planet understands WAV,
soundcards often speak SoundFont™
- and that's what SampliConv makes out of your AKAI CDs.

SampliConv opens the door for you
|
|
| |
|
SampliConv can convert single samples and programs directly
from an AKAI S-1000 / S-3000 CD and store them as WAV resp. SF2 files.
An important issue are the parameters: those have a major impact on the
result. It's the envelopes which make up a sound, the LFO's and the filter
settings - all of that get's translated by SampliConv and is written to
SF2 (SoundFont) files (This ensures that this breathtaking piano sounds
as natural and sparkling as intended...) Single samples (which are converted
to WAV files) contain the original loop settings of the respective source
sample.
It's as easy as can be: put an AKAI CD into your PC's CDROM drive and
select
a bank / partition in the AKAI CD structure.
Next you can browse through the bank's contents and pre-listen some of
the samples. Select one or more of them and export them as WAV
files. Select one or more of the programs and export
them as SF2.
